     Computer Appreciation



Students will learn basic computer concepts and skills related to IBM and compatible computers. They will receive a thorough introduction to the hardware components of a personal computer.In addition, they will learn basic Windows 95/98 techniques, become acquainted with Microsoft Office 97/2000 applications and learn about the Internet.This course provides a broad information base to students so that they have a greater awareness and confidence when using computers. Not only do students learn what the components are, but they also learn why they need to know this information and how it affects them in a practical way. This may enable students to participate in conversations, make appropriate requests, and troubleshoot problems related to personal computers.



A basic understanding of English.
 Who Need Computer Appreciation?

Students enrolling in this course are not required to have any background knowledge or experience in computers.


On successful completion of the course, students will receive a Quadrant Computer Appreciation Certificate and Transcript. Students who fail the exam, will get another opportunity to write a make-up exam, free of charge.


Three weeks, Five days a week, Two hours a day
