Spring is here and once again Quadrant
welcomes it by resuming the weekly
Quadrant Time Trial - Wednesday 1
September 2004 |

Venue: Quadrant Training - Every
Wednesday |

Time: 17:15 Hours (5:15 pm) |

|
The stated purpose of the Time Trial is
to:
|
|
•
Encourage participants to practice
healthy lifestyles. |
|
•
Encourage participants to have fun
building health and fitness. |
|
•
Get participants to experience the
joy and satisfaction of continual
self-improvement. |
|
|
Procedure |
|
Participants will be
categorized
into
two groups: Runners and
Walkers.
|
|
The winner will be anyone improving on
their previous best time by the highest
margin.
|
|
Participant’s times will be recorded and
entered into a database. These will then
be published in the local press (on the
sports page). |
|
The objective will be to have fun and
build health and fitness, not run faster
than, or beat other participants. |

Route |
|
The starting point is Christie House car-park; down
Kingsway towards the border; turn left
at the traffic-lights into Kofi Annan
Road, turn left at the traffic lights
into Pioneer Road and go towards the city
centre; at the Kingsway traffic lights
turn left, down Kingsway, go past
Victoria Hotel, turn left into Mpilo
Boulevard, turn right just past the
foot-bridge into Orpen Road and back to
the car-park at Christie House. Total
distance - approximately 5 kms.

Registration |
|
The joining fee is M15.00 only.
Registration can be done on or before
Wednesday 5:00pm at
Quadrant Training (1st Floor
Christie House – 2231-4707 (Ask for
Mpoi). |
|
Participants receive a free T-Shirt upon
registration.
|
|
Refreshments (bottled water and energy
drinks) will be sold at the start/finish
point (Christie House car-park).
