qualified and experienced persons for appointment to
the post described below.
Reporting
to: Operations Manager
Job
Purpose:
Management
of the maintenance section, training and mentoring of
learners and staff.
Key
Performance Area
s:
Planning
and organising of work for planned and ad hoc
maintenance; Drafting, implementation and monitoring
of maintenance work plans; Quality control of planned
and ad hoc maintenance work; implementation of the
Safety, Health and Environmental programme within the
Maintenance section; Ensuring the appropriate levels
of productivity within the section, Preparation of
specifications of materials and equipment required;
Preparation and scrutiny of procurement documents;
Management of maintenance projects; Supervision of
work done both by internal and external contractors;
Training and mentoring of sub-ordinates.
Requirements:
The
successful candidate must hold a National Diploma or
higher in Civil Engineering or Electro-mechanical
engineering with at least five years experience in the
water and wastewater or process, or fluid field, of
which two years should have been in a middle
management position with potential to move into Senior
Management. He/she must be able to coach and mentor
and be willing to work irregular hours and within
strict time constraints. A qualified Artisan with at
least twelve years experience plus relevant in-house
training will also be considered. The appointee will
be required to reside within the Maluti-a-Phofung
municipality area which includes Phuthaditjhaba,
QwaQwa, Kestell and Harrismith.
Remuneration:
The
performance-based remuneration package will be
commensurate with the qualifications and experience of
the successful candidate.
