the post described below.
Reporting
to: Commercial Manager
Job
Purpose:
To
manage the Customer Service Department, ensuring
compliance with all relevant municipal by-laws;
enhanced relationships with communities; and improved
revenue collections as to assist the entity in
reaching financial sustainability.
Key
Performance Areas:
The
incumbent will be expected to optimise and continually
improve the organisation’s income stream; ensure
that the department is able to fulfill its mandated
functions and continually monitor and improves its
performance; report on departmental progress; keeps up
to date with developments in technology, statutory
requirements, policies, market practices etc.
Requirements:
The
ideal candidate must hold an appropriate B Degree
(financial/legal); have the ability to lead and
motivate staff and interact with municipal officials
and customer/consumer bodies, the press and/or other
media representatives, and community leaders at all
levels. He/she must have a minimum of five years
experience in customer care and three to four in
financial/management positions as well as knowledge of
integrated billing systems and local government
financial legislation.
Remuneration:
This
is a Grade D4 position in terms of Paterson Grading.
